We do not accept books from mass-production operations or from people who want to publish only AI-generated, low-content, summary, or low-quality books. Our readers expect high standards.
Here are the types of content we do not accept at Dookshop:
Infringing Content
The user is responsible for making sure they do not violate any laws relating to copyright or trademarks for intellectual property they do not own the rights to.
Objectionable Content
We may block any content we find objectionable, such as hate speech or material that promotes terrorism.
Erotic Content
We do not accept erotic content. Trying to hide the true nature of your content may result in your account being closed. We also do not allow pornographic images or content that glorifies taboo subjects like the sexual exploitation of children or rape.
Misleading Content
We do not accept content that could mislead buyers by copying the title, author name, cover design, branding, or other details of well-known books.
Low Quality Content
We do not accept content that gives readers a poor experience because of bad editing, poor formatting, or unprofessional images.
Low Content
We do not accept books with very little content that are meant to be filled in by the buyer, like journals, notebooks, diaries, or planners.
Freely Available Content
We do not accept content that does not offer more value than what readers can already find for free.
Mass Produced Content
We do not accept mass-produced content, including Private Label Rights (PLR), work from content farms, or material created only by machines or automated tools.
AI Content
We allow content that uses AI as a tool, but we do not accept work that is fully generated by AI or large language models unless it has been carefully reviewed by a human.
Non-credentialled NonFiction Content
We may ask for proof of expertise for nonfiction books. If you publish nonfiction on different topics, you will need to show you are qualified in each area.
